Digital Architecture

Here at Studio John Bridge we specialise in the digital architecture. This focuses on the digital design to fabrication process, where CAD (Computer Aided Design) flows into CAM (Computer Aided Manufacture). We subscribe to the Autodesk BIM suite and we are experienced with Laser Cutting, CNC Milling (Sheets and Solids) and 3D Printing. We feel that each building and place should be optimised for enjoyment and material quantity, cutting down on waste and unnecessary weight in structures. This means we produce imaginative and stunning architecture, that simply isn’t possible by traditional practices and approaches.

We are looking to the future of technology to help us craft a way forward through the 21st Century. Our Director John Bridge is particularly fanatical about Addititive Manufacturing, and seeks to one day ‘print’ his own home.

About Machined Furniture

As architects, we’re passionate about interiors as well as exteriors. After searching for the right desk for his new studio, John Bridge decided to make his own. From then, he continued making unique pieces to add to his collection.

At Machined, we’re extremely conscious about the impact our furniture has on our planet. Our ‘File to Factory’ process ensures that we create as little waste as possible.
