Project completion: New Tram Bridge, Preston
Some projects are just meant to be! After an April Fools back in 2019, then investing time into an R&D green bridge concept, followed by a very real community competition for ideas on how we could redesign the Bridge… this then helped secure funding for the new replacement Tram Road Bridge over the River Ribble in Avenham, Preston.
Here are the latest visuals that have gone to press, that we have designed for a very unique collaboration between Preston City and Lancashire County Councils, with Lancashire’s very own Eric Wright Group and DYSE Engineers.
There is some great coverage in the media thus far, and lots in the pipeline!
I’m delighted to be involved in this great regeneration story and to be part of Preston’s history. A huge thank you to my skilful colleagues Jack Oaten and Rainer Townend! We used Revit with Dynamo (Autodesk) to help generate the Bridge to meet the constraints of the client brief and River topography!
